Welcome, I am Anessa

I am a New Jersey licensed and registered occupational therapist with a specialty in infants and pediatrics. My passion and expertise are to help children and families maximize and achieve their goals through evidenced-based and client-centered practice while utilizing sensory integration (SI), behavioral, developmental, play, and strength-based approaches. I strongly believe that parents play a vital role in their child's success and are important team members during treatment.

I have worked with a multitude of diagnoses including Autism, Genetic disorders, Sensory processing disorders, ADHD, ODD, Speech delays, Anxiety, Developmental delays, Failures to thrive, Torticollis, Down syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

I have many years of experience working in a multidisciplinary setting and pride myself on collaboration and generalization. I will work hard to collaborate with all caregivers, parents, other therapists that work with your child, and school staff with your permission to ensure your child receives the best therapeutic outcomes possible.

I look forward to hearing from you!

My experience

Specialized Services:

Autism Spectrum Disorder – ASD

Developmental Delay – DD

Sensory Procession Disorder – SPD

  • 1:1 occupational therapy service offered in increments of 30 and 45 minutes

  • This session will consist of tailored sensory interventions for 30-35 minutes with a 10-minute discussion with the caregiver on how to carry over the treatment into the home until the following session. It is recommended that at least 2 sessions of SI are received weekly.

  • Typically held over Zoom to educate parents and caregivers on how to generalize skills worked on in 1:1 sessions in the home. Sessions can also be conducted to help families deal with challenging behaviors, sensory difficulties, or other parental concerns.

  • Initial and re-evaluations are conducted in person to assess a child's baseline skills or to reassess skills over time.

The school observations can be completed with a formal write-up upon parent request and consent from the school.

Mission statement:

To enhance the development of children by maximizing skills through evidence-based and client-centered treatment

Philosophy:

Our philosophy at On Track Development is that in order for a child to achieve their full potential and reach their developmental milestones, the full participation of caregivers and generalization of skills is a necessity.
